Nepal Holiday

Feel free to browse through my photos below. You can click on any image thumbnail to expand it. These photos were taken on a trekking holiday in the foothills of Annapurna. Before the trek we had a days sight seeing in Kathmandu. After the trek we spent a day in Pokhara to relax and then visited the Chitwan National Park in the South of the country. On the technical side we had taken light weight cameras. I was using a Fuji 31d and Fuji 6500 and Kate a Canon digital ixus 55.
On the Streets of Kathmandu
When we arrived there was a general strike in the South of the Country so no petrol was coming through from India and it was very rationed in the city. There were long queues for fuel with people waiting for up to four hours.Traffic was lighter than usual.

Several funerals were underway whilst we visited, The temples were being prepared for the festival of Shiva.
